Retweet of the Day - November 14, 2013

Future Hall of Fame safety Ed Reed was singed by the New York Jets today, just after clearing waivers following his release from the Houston Texans on Tuesday. The 35-year-old is clearly in the twilight of his career. However, Jets Head Coach Rex Ryan, his former defensive coordinator with the Baltimore Ravens, probably thinks the veteran Super Bowl champion can bring something to his defense.

Today's retweet is a reminder to Jets fans that their expectations should be tempered. After all, Reed was released from the 2-7 Texans after playing in just seven games. From NOTSportsCenter (‏@NOTSportsCenter):

"SOURCES: Ed Reed's contract with the #Jets will allow him to take Tuesdays off to play Bingo and Thursdays off to feed the ducks at the pond"

Can this old dog teach the young Jets secondary some new tricks?
