The Boston Red Sox had a spectacular evening last night. They utterly destroyed the Detroit Tigers in the rubber match of a series that could influence home field advantage throughout the American League playoffs by the score of 20-8. The Red Sox hit eight home runs at home in Fenway Park last night. Designated hitter David "Big Papi" Ortiz reached his 2,000th career hit. Hits 1,999 and 2,001 were big flies.
