Retweet of the Day - October 17, 2012

According to reports in USA Today and other sports media, New York Yankees third baseman third baseman Alex Rodriguez was seen flirting with women from the Yankee Stadium dugout during the Yankees Game 2 loss to the Detroit Tigers in the American League Championship Series. Reportedly, Rodriguez asked a ball boy to hand a ball and a pen to one of the women and had a message on the ball to write down her phone number and throw it back, which she did.

Of course, A-Rod received criticism for this move. His play was so bad during the game and the series that he was benched (hitting 3 for 23 in the playoffs for a .130 average). Yet he was focused on chicks instead of cheering on his teammates. Perhaps it is overblown and he really was not distracted by the ladies, but all things A-Rod get more attention than they would for a player with a lower profile.

That leads us to today's rather humorous retweet, from $.O (‏@Faaz_23)

"@timandsid ARod got the ball back and it said "Chicks Dig the Long Ball"... #timandsid"

Rodriguez just doesn't want to keep himself all to...himself.
