Grant is a Bears fan and his wife is a Packers fan. They made a "friendly" bet that the person whose team lost would get tased. At some point after the game (and after a very intoxicating quantity of beverages), Grant went to collect, zapping his wife in the butt and thigh, according to Deadspin.com.
Apparently, Mrs. Grant didn't take too kindly to having to pay up. She called the cops and showed them the cell phone video of the tasing. To jail John Grant went. He faces up to six years in the slammer for illegal use of an electric weapon.
