Cinderella at Wimbledon

The upsets are piling up quickly at Wimbledon. #5 ATP ranked Rafael Nadal was thwarted by unknown, 135th ranked Steve Darcis.#2 WTA ranked Victoria Azarenka, a Hat Trick favorite, withdrew due to an injury to her right knee. And yesterday, another one bit the dust.

Maria Sharapova, the runner up to Serena Williams at the French Open, went down in straight sets in the second round at the hands of 20-year-old Portuguese Michelle Larcher De Brito, ranked 131st in the world. Ms. Larcher De Brito is the subject of today's Chick Pic.

I couldn't even tell you what language this edition of Elle magazine is in. I doubt you care. 1
Seriously. Use Google Traslate if you really want to read the words. 2
I love her form on the return volley. 3

And her backhand.... 4

No commentary needed if you're a regular to the Chick Pic. 5

Congratulations, to Michelle Larcher De Brito! A mammoth but well earned upset against a true champion.... Good luck in your next match against Italian Karin Knapp (ranked 104). Only five more match victories before the mother of all 2013 Cinderella stories has a happy ending.
