The Booby Prize

Consider the title to be a double entendre. Defending French Open champion and WTA #2 ranked Maria Sharapova defeated #3 ranked Victoria Azarenka of Belarus in three sets to advance to the Finals. Her reward? The booby prize: a match with American Serena Williams, ranked #1 in the world and coming off a complete dismantling of #5 ranked Italian Sara Errani in two sets, 6-0 and 6-1.
