Remember Jimmy Clausen? Former Notre Dame standout quarterback? High second round draft pick of the Carolina Panthers. Ever since the emergence of the first pick in the 2011 NFL Draft, quarterback Cam Newton, poor old Jimmy Clausen has become yesterday's news. Even when Newton had an abysmal showing like last night in the Panthers' 36-7 loss to the New York Giants, Clausen couldn't see the field. Instead, Newton was replaced late in the game with veteran backup Derek Anderson.
Don't feel too sorry for Clausen. First of all, he is still earning a significant guarantee from his pre-2011 collective bargaining agreement rookie contract, which probably pays him more than most current first round picks. Second, his girlfriend, and the subject of today's Chick Pic, is rumored to be beach volleyball player Jess Gysin. Sorry Jimmy, you can't cry on my shoulder, pal!
