Chris Paul's Tweet, Demps Presser: CP3 Staying for Now

I agree that there is some very general, non-specific fluff that both Chris Paul and New Orleans Hornets General Manager Dell Demps fed the public in his press conference. But the recurring answers that he kept giving when asked about a trade, Chris Paul's desire to be traded, or the possibility of a trade were, "No...no...no."

Sure you can say one thing and do something else, but how would the Hornets be helping themselves by doing that? With or without Paul, the team is accountable to the fans and that tactic would not help their cause on that front. In sports, in business, and in life people expecting bad news tend to throw little gentle hints out there, minimally, to soften the blow. There were no hints...zero.

We shall see. But so far there has yet to be a word or even innuendo straight from the mouths of either of the horses involved - Paul or the Hornets - that a trade is even being entertained. The more this drags on, the more I think people wanted another story to sell after The Decision.
