Retweet of the Day - January 7, 2014

The Florida State Seminoles nipped the Auburn Tigers last night, 34-31, in the 2014 BCS National Championship Game, winning the national title of the 2013 college football season. The pass from 2013 Heisman Trophy winner Jameis Winston to Kelvin Benjamin with 13 seconds remaining in the game ended the string of seven consecutive BCS National Championship Game victories by teams from the Southeastern Conference. All good things must come to an end. And with it came a bruise to the pride of the SEC and its fans.

Sometimes the sun goes 'round the moon; sometimes the snow comes down in June. The SEC was bound to drop one eventually. Today's retweet, by Gator Content from (‏@OurTwoBits), should help bring SEC Guy from the ledge with a little perspective.

"#FSU will win a National Title over an #SEC team when hell freezes over! Current temperature in Tallahassee: 23 degrees."

Much like snow in Florida, I wouldn't hold my breath until the next SEC defeat.
