Retweet of the Day - November 18, 2013

The 1972 Miami Dolphins are the only team in modern NFL history to have a perfect season - unbeaten and untied through the regular and postseasons. Every year the surviving members of Head Coach Don Shula's '72 meet and celebrate after the last of the unbeatens in the NFL goes down. Once, they had to wait until Super Bowl Sunday to pop bottles, when the New England Patriots lost Super Bowl XLII to the New York Giants, dropping their record to 18-1. Otherwise, the celebration has happened in the regular season.

It took until the 11th week of the 2013 season but, as many expected, Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos handed the previously undefeated Kansas City Chiefs their first blemish of the season. Today's retweet from former Denver Broncos tight end Byron Chamberlain (@bc_chamberlain) illustrates that:

"KC Chiefs, '72 Dolphins be like: Thanks #Broncos pic.twitter.com/PYWuoRhIfn"
One day, we won't have to see this anymore. The question is, will it be because of an achievement on the gridiron or the Grim Reaper?
