This might be the most manufactured sports story I have heard all year long. They closed the series out at home. So what? How many fan bases, like the Chicago Cubs for instance (last World Series championship: 1908) could die in peace if they clinched the World Series in Japan?
Today, we have two Retweet of the Day offerings. The first, from Tommy Flynn (@tflynn72)
"drink every time they bring up that the sox won the WS at fenway for the first time since 1918"
and the second from Ryan Blacquiere (@RyanWilliamXI):
""Party like it's 1918" So drink a massive amount before the Christian Temperance Movement pushes through Prohibition in 1920."
These folks could have used a little prohibition. |
