Retweet of the Day - September 10, 2013

In what is becoming a disturbing tradition for Chargers fans, Philip Rivers served up a key turnover at a critical juncture in a game. Hosting the Houston Texans on Monday Night Football, Rivers threw a pick-six to Texans linebacker Brian Cushing to tie the score at 28, en route to a breathtaking come-from-ahead choke job that ruined an otherwise solid four touchdown pass performance by Rivers.

Rivers has melted down in the fourth quarter several times in the past, though he was usually teamed up with his former Head Coach, Norv Turner, in the process. Turner was fired after last season, now an assistant under Head Coach Rod Chudzinski of the Cleveland Browns.

Today's retweet, by comedian Don Jamieson (‏@realdonjamieson) highlights this dubious Chargers tradition:

"Good to see Phllip Rivers can choke without the help of Norv Turner."

Don't choke it backwards, Philip; choke it forward.
