Retweet of the Day - August 20, 2013

On the preseason debut of Monday Night Football, the Washington Redskins looked like a team building on a breakout 2012 season. The Steelers looked like a team with some rust to knock off. Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger did not throw an incomplete pass out of his six attempts. Unfortunately, only five of those passes were to members of his team. His only pass resulting in a touchdown was the same pass "completed" to Redskins linebacker Ryan Kerrigan.

The Steelers gave up four quarterback sacks. They lost two fumbles. They weren't very effective on the ground. They were absolutely abysmal on third down. The lone bright spot was a touchdown drive engineered by rookie quarterback Landry Jones from Oklahoma University late in the game to make the score look less lopsided than the actual performance on the field was.

Today retweet, by Steelers Depot ‏(@Steelersdepot) illustrates the futility that Steelers Fans may have felt this evening.

"Positives from #steelers first half: Sanders & Jones. Negatives: Twitter only allows 140 characters"

You're having a rough night when the linebacker is dunking in the end zone.
