Reigning Heisman trophy winner and Texas A&M quarterback Johnny Manziel has been making headlines all offseason, not necessarily in a good way. Manziel has had some questionable party photos of him released to the public, has lashed out on Twitter about his experience in College Station, been arrested for his involvement in a bar fight, been kicked out of the Manning Passing Academy, was kicked out of a University of Texas fraternity party, etcetera, etcetera. He recently gave an interview to ESPN the Magazine that illustrated some family tension and a sense of entitlement coming from a wealthy Texas oil family.
In that interview, Johnny Football said that people have no idea what it is like to walk "in his shoes" before criticising some of his behavior. Walk in the shoes of a 20-year-old future multi-millionaire football rock star who drives a Mercedes, can have his choice of coeds at Texas A&M and, by the way, already comes from money? I'd give it a shot.
Today's retweet, from Jacob (
@ohholybutt) offers a more grounded perspective:
"you have no idea how often I'd have been in jail if I were in Johnny Manziel's shoes."

How does he walk in those shoes every day? |
