University of Notre Dame linebacker Manti Te’o experienced a
well-publicized fiasco at the 2013 NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis several
weeks ago. Reportedly, he ran a 4.9 in the 40-yard dash and then made matters
worse by blaming fatigue.
Te’o had his Pro Day this week and according to reports he
got his 40 time down to a 4.7, still a bit slow for an NFL linebacker but not as
laughable. It is a trickle of positive press to go along with significant
unflattering press for Te’o in recent months. First, Te’o looked like he was
out of his league in the BCS National Championship Game in January as the Alabama
Crimson Tide had their way with him and his defensive teammates. Then reports
of Te’o falling for the infamous “catfishing” hoax in which he was led to
believe he had an online girlfriend that didn’t really exist. Then the combine
debacle….
Today’s retweet blends a little humor with sports news, from

What I wouldn't give to be a fly on the wall in his NFL locker room next year. |
