Embattled former Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Percy Harvin was traded to the Seattle Seahawks on Monday, rejoining former teammate and fellow receiver Sidney Rice. The Vikings offense was criticized, I believe fairly, as being completely one dimensional. That was dimension was running back Adrian Peterson, who ran for over 2,000 yards in 2012 and came less than 10 yards away from breaking Hall of Famer Eric Dickerson's single season rushing record, set in 1984.
Harvin was the next most potent offensive threat the Vikings had after Peterson. Today's retweet address that, from Nick Lutz (

"Percy Harvin to the Seahawks? Looks like Adrian Peterson will have 3,000 yards next season. #NFL"

Peterson should rest often this offseason. There's more work with his name on it next year. |
