It is official. Alabama will meet Notre Dame in the BCS Championship Game in January. Notre Dame will have the opportunity to show that it is a legitimate title contender, not just a beneficiary of a soft schedule and being independent of conference affiliations. Alabama will have the opportunity to crush the peasant rebellion and remind everyone why the Southeastern Conference has won six consecutive BCS championships, soon to be seven.
