Seven by Land - Federer Halts the British Invasion

Michael Jordan can't even claim seven titles.
Roger Federer won his seventh Wimbledon Championships Gentleman's title, defeating Andy Murray of Great Britain in four sets. In recent years, it appeared that Federer had lost ground to Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic among tennis' elite. That was put to rest today. After staving off elimination in the fourth set of the second round match with Julien Benneteau, Federer would not lose another set until the first set of today's championship match. He would not lose another set afterwards.

For Murray, the defeat was bitter. Murray has never won at Wimbledon. In fact, no Brit has won there since 1936. Still, the home crown was appreciative of the runner up. And Jolly Old England could not have lost to a more worthy adversary.

CRYING? There's no CRYING in tennis!?!
