The Houston Rockets signed New York Knicks restricted free agent point guard Jeremy Lin to a lucrative offer sheet earlier this month. ESPN reported that the Knicks will decline to match the offer, probably because of the heavily backloaded third year of the contract.

This has to be a tough break for Knicks fans who got caught up in the "Lin-sainty" that gripped New York and the NBA by storm earlier this year. Jeremy Lin merchandise couldn't stay on the shelves for several weeks. Today's retweet is from Addison Ingle ‏(@Ingle32) as it illustrates that what goes up, must come down.
