Matt Kemp Back on the DL

The Los Angeles Dodgers are a resilient team. In 2011, the historic franchise had everything but the kitchen sink thrown at them. The divorce of owner Frank McCourt and the ensuing financial issues threatened the very basic operations of the team. The team was not playing well. Attendance was abysmal, understandably so.

Fast forward to 2012 and new owner, Magic Johnson (and the Guggenheim Group). The Dodgers are comfortably in first place in the National League West. 2011 MVP candidate Matt Kemp (.355, 12 HR, 28 RBI) is having another stellar season, but missed more than two weeks in May with a hamstring injury. Yesterday, he aggravated that injury and expected to be placed back on the 15 day disabled list.

I cannot help but think that a visit from his ex-girlfriend, Rihanna, would help ease his recovery.

At least Kemp only hit baseballs.
