The first dedication we have is from Doug. Doug is a 37 year old “gamer” and lives with his mother and nephew in Memphis. Doug writes: “Dear Eric: Randy Moss is one of my favorite players of all time and I will support him no matter who he plays for. Randy has had a rough year and I’d like you to pick a song out for him.”
Doug |
Well, Doug, Randy has had a rough year. He ran himself out of a pretty good situation in New England. Brad Childress apparently was clueless as to the kind of player he was getting and euthanized Moss’ stay in Minnesota, as well as his own coaching career, in less than a month. Now, he is with the Tennessee Titans. Three teams in one season.... Three teams in less than three months.... Randy Moss: if you are reading the Hat Trick today, your dedication from Doug in Memphis is Britney Spears’ “3”.

We have another dedication. This is from Jack in Milwaukee. Jack works at the Miller Brewing plant. He has three children that he hasn’t been able to see due to a restraining order that his ex-wife has on him which prohibits him from even speaking to his children on the phone when he is drunk. Apparently, Jack has a little alcohol problem.
Jack |
Jack writes, “My ex-wife won’t let me speak to my kids because she thinks I’m drunk. I haven’t been drunk since Wednesday.” Okay, Jack…it is Wednesday. Jack continues, “This would all not be so bad if Brett Favre were still with us and playing for the Packers instead of the enemy. Brett brought us back to glory with the Super Bowl win and taught many of us, including me, that Wrangler Jeans are both fashionable and affordable. If he is still playing he belongs here. Can you play something to Brett from Jack?”
Jack I sure can and Brett Favre has read The Daily Hat Trick regularly since I dedicated, “Cheating in the Next Room” from him to Jenn Sterger. Brett Favre, Jack dedicates Mariah Carey’s “We Belong Together” to you.

Last, we have a letter from Quanis. Quanis is a recent parolee and gunshot wound victim. He claims to have been personal friends with Michael Vick. “Dear Mr. Hatfield:” says Quanis, “Mike Vick used to be one of my best friends. I stupidly messed it all up with my big mouth and got him into a little trouble.” A LITTLE trouble, Quanis? “When I tried to apologize, several shots were fired at me by some large men in black outfits and Mike ran from me so fast that he couldn’t even call 911 for me. Could you play a good song to help me get my friend back.”
Quanis Phillips |
I have gotcha covered, Quanis. Here is “Who Let the Dogs Out” by the Baha Men, from Quanis Phillips to Mike Vick.
