You, the readers, made me proud today, sort of. The Daily Hat Trick recorded over 1,600 page views today, including over 300 in a single hour, both records for this blog to the best of my knowledge. As I have said in the past, bloggers know their numbers and know their numbers and know their numbers. So I felt like I made a profound contribution to the sports writing zeitgeist for all of 90 seconds, the 90 seconds it took me to see that at least 1,100 of those page views came from searches for pictures of smoking hot tennis star Victoria Azarenka.
